Overview
This article explains how to set up a personalized "session booked" confirmation email that's sent when a client books a session.
Set up Editable "Session Booked" Confirmation Emails or Texts
This option lets you edit the session booked confirmation email before sending it to the client.
Advantages to this method:
- This option lets you edit the email or text before it is sent to the client
Disadvantages to this method:
- This option does allow employees to edit the email, which may cause issues
- This option does not automatically send a new confirmation email/text if the session gets moved to a new date
To set up this option:
Here are the steps to set up this option
- Go to the Calendar component
- Click the Settings tab
- Edit the desired Calendar Type or Calendar Sub-type
- Click on the Messages tab
- Click either of the checkboxes shown in the screenshot below, then select the desired email or text message template
Set up Non-Editable Session Booked Confirmation Emails or Texts
This option lets you edit the session booked confirmation email before it's sent to the client.
Advantages to this method
- This option works well to prevent employees from accidentally editing an email before it is sent.
- This option will automatically send another session booked confirmation email if the session is moved
Disadvantages to this method
- This option does not allow you to edit the email before it is sent to the customer
To set up this option:
- Edit Calendar Type or Calendar Sub-type
- Click on the Messages tab
- Click either the New Email button or New Text button shown in the screenshot below
- Adjust the Filter Forms menu bar to show the desired items
- Select either the Session Booked Confirmation Email template or the Session Booked Confirmation Text Message Template
- Adjust the CloudAlert as desired
- Click the Save button
