Overview
This tutorial will explain how to customize the session number in StudioCloud.
How StudioCloud Calculates the Session Number
When a new session is created StudioCloud automatically looks at all of the previous sessions, including cancelled sessions, and automatically gets the next highest unique number. For example, if the highest session number is 100 then the next highest session number will be 101.
How to Change A Specific Sessions Number
- Edit an existing session
- Note: You can not edit the session number when creating a new session

What is the Maximum Session Number
The session number can not include any letters and the maximum session number is 2147483647.
How to Change The Session Numbers That Are Generated For New Sessions
To adjust the how StudioCloud calculates the Session Numbers you must do the following:
- Edit a session and change their session number to be where you want StudioCloud to start generating session numbers.
- For example, If you want StudioCloud to generate Session Numbers starting at 1000 then you would edit a session and change the session number to be 1000. The next Session Number that would be generated would be 1001.
Resolving Session Number Issues
If you have sessions that have a higher session number than the session number that you want to start using then you will either need to delete those sessions or manually edit all of the session numbers to be lower then the desired client ID.
For example, if you want session numbers to start at 1000 but you have a session that has a session number of 2000 then you will need to edit that session number to be 1000 or below otherwise StudioCloud will generate the session number of 2001 for the next session. Make sure you also view cancelled sessions as they are included when calculating the next highest session number.
