Overview
StudioCloud allows you to create tags to help identify your clients, their interests, or other identifying information. It can also be used for marketing to clients with specific tags and running reports on clients that have specific tags.

How to Open the Manage Tags Window
- Click on the Client Component
- Click on the Settings tab
- Click the Manage Tags button
How to Create/Edit a Tag
- Open the Manage Tags window
- Click on the New Tag button or edit the desired tag
- Below is a list of the Tag Fields
- Tag Group
- A tag group is a way to group the tags together. This field is optional.
- Tag Name
- This is the name of the tag.
- Tag Description
- This is the name of the tag.
- Directory Tag
- This checkbox enables or disables the tag as a directory tag. A directory tag is used to track the employees of a business or organization. It also supports have a list of clients form a directory tag widget when editing a client. The widget displays all of the employees that have the same tag as well as a "Primary Contact".

How to Create/Add a Tag From The Client Window
- Create a new client or edit an existing client
- If you wish to create a new client:
- In the tag section click the down arrow next to the Add Tag
- Click on the Create a New Tag menu item
- If you wish to add a client:
- In the tag section click on the Add Tag button
- Select the desired tag
How to Import Tags From A CSV File
- Open the Manage Tags window
- Click on the Import Options menu option
- Click on the Import Tags From CSV menu item
- In the Import Tags window click on the Import Options menu option
- Click on the Import From CSV (Comma Separated) menu item
How to Enable/Disable System Tags
- Go to the Settings component
- Select the Settings tab
- Click on the Manage StudioCloud Settings button
- Check the Enable System Tags if you wish to show the tags combobox for events, invoices, projects, tasks, and ledger entries
- Uncheck the Enable System Tags if you wish to hide the combo box
- Click the Save button
How to Duplicate Multiple Tags At Once
- Open the Manage Tags window
- Select the desired tags to duplicate by clicking on the checkbox in the first column
- ProTip: You can select all of the tags at once by using a group operation
- Click on the Group Operations menu option
- Click on the Duplicate Selected Tags menu item
- Edit the tag names as desired
- ProTip: If you click the enter key when finished editing a tag name it will automatically move down to the next tag name
- ProTip: If you click the end key when editing a tag name it will jump the cursor to the end of the tag name
- ProTip: If you click the tab key it will jump to the next tab to the right
- When finished click the Save button
How to Enable/Disable a Tag as a Directory Tag
- Open the Manage Tags window
- Click on the New Tag button or edit the desired tag
- Click the Directory Tag Checkbox
How to Enable/Disable the Directory Tag From the Client Window
- Click the Clients component
- Click on the Settings tab
- Click on the Customize Client Fields button
- Click the Show List of Clients From Directory Tags checkbox
How to Send An Email/Text When a Client is Tagged
- Create or edit the desired tag
- Click on the Automatic Messages tab
- Select either the email or text message option and select the appropriate message template
How to Archive A Single Tag
- Open the Manage Tags window
- Edit the Tag
- Click the Archive Tag checkbox in the bottom left
- Save the Tag
How to Archive Multiple Tags At Once
- Open the Manage Tags window using the instructions above
- Click the checkbox in the first column for all of the tags that you want to archive
- ProTip: You can select multiple tags at once by using group operations
- ProTip: You can select multiple tags from the table quickly by clicking on one tag and then holding down shift and clicking on another tag
- Click on the Group Options menu option
- Click on the Archive Selected Tags menu item
How to Receive an Email with a CSV Exported File of Clients for Multiple Tags
Generating a CSV client file for multiple tags can take a long time if thousands of clients are tagged per tag. As such StudioCloud offers the following option to have the CSV file emailed to you after all of the clients are converted to CSV.
- Open the Manage Tags window
- Select the desired tags
- Click on the Export Options menu option
- Click on the Email A CSV File Containing All of the Clients Associated With The Selcted Tags menu item
How to Export Clients With A Specific Tag to CSV
- Open the Manage Tags window using the instructions above
- Click the View Clients button for the desired tag
- Click on the Group Options menu option
- Click on the Select All menu option
- Click on the Group Options menu option again
- Click on the Exported Options menu option
- Click on the Export Selected Clients To CSV menu item
How to Tag a Client
- Create a new client or edit an existing client
- Click the Add Tag button
- Double-click the desired tags
- Click Save
How to Add a Tag to Multiple Clients
- Click on the Clients component
- Click on the Clients tab
- Click on the All Clients menu bar
- Click the checkbox in the first column for all of the clients that you want to tag
- ProTip: You can select all of the visible clients by going to group operations
- Click the Group Operations menu option
- Click the Actions menu button
- Click the Tag Selected Clients menu item
How to Add a Tag to an Event
- Click on the Calendar component
- Select the Calendar tab
- Either create a new event or edit an existing one.
- Click the Select Tag button on the right
- In the window that opens, select the desired tag or create a new one.
- Click the Save button
How to Add a Tag to an Invoice
- Click on the Point of Sale component
- Click the Invoices/Estimates/Quotes bar
- Either create a new invoice or edit an existing one
- Click on the Settings tab
- Click the Select Tag button
- In the window that opens, select the desired tag or create a new one.
- Click the Save button
How to Add a Tag to a Project
- Click on the Workflow component
- Select the Projects tab
- Either create a new project or edit an existing one
- Click the Select Tag button
- In the window that opens, select the desired tag or create a new one.
- Click the Save button
How to Create a Report Based on Image Number
Some photography studios photograph thousands of clients each year. In order to keep track of who has received a photo or not, you can easily create a report that allows you access to this information.
- Create a tag to represent this report
- Use the group operations to tag each client you want in the report
- Enter the image number under the Business Name or in the Notes section
- Create a marketing campaign based on this tag
How to View Products Sold By Tag
- Click on the Point of Sale component
- Click on the Reports tab
- Click on the List of Products Sold By Tag button
- Once inside the Product Tag Analyzer window, select the desired time frame, then select the desired tag(s)
- Select the product or service you wish to see
- Click the Analyze button
How to View Sales Based On Tag
- Click on the Point of Sale component
- Click on the Reports tab
- Click on one of the following buttons in the bottom right
- Invoices by Client Tag
- This table provides a breakdown of the invoices based on client tag
- Payments by Client Tag
- This table provides a breakdown of the payments based on the client tag
- Invoices by Invoice Tag
- This table provides a breakdown of the invoices based on the tag assigned to the invoice

How to Use the Tag Analyzer
- Select the desired tags to analyze under the Tag Name panel
- Click the desired display option under the Display Options menu option
- This option displays the total invoice amount based on the clients that are tagged
- This option displays the total payments on an invoice based on the clients that are tagged
- This option displays the total balance due on the invoices based on the clients that are tagged.

- Click the Analysis Options menu option
- Click the Exclude Tags That Do Not Have Data menu item if you want all of the tags and not just the tags that have data associated with them

How to View Clients Associated With a Specific Tag
- Click on the Clients Component
- Click on the Settings tab
- Click the Manage Tags button
- Find the desired tags and then click on the View Clients button
