How to Increase the Number of Events in ICS Feed

StudioCloud allows you to export your calendar information to third-party applications.  For additional details on how to do that, please see the following support articles:

The ICS feed will provide data for 1 month in the past and up to 5 years in the future.  By default, the ICS feed will provide a total of 150 events in the feed.  The reason the number of events is limited is to prevent third-party applications from timing out.  This support article explains how to customize the ICS URL to adjust the number of events that are downloaded.

How to Increase/Decrease the Number of Events in the ICS Feed For The StudioCloud Calendar

This article explains how to enable the ICS feed.  Please see the related articles to learn how to view the ICS feed in other programs. This tutorial only applies to the general calendar and not to the calendar filters. You will need to change the calendar filters manually below.

  1. Click on the Calendar component
  2. Click on the Settings tab
  3. Click the Export Calendar button
  4. Click the checkbox labeled Export calendar to Outlook, iCal, iPhone, etc
  5. If you want to adjust the number of events that are displayed click the Change Total Number of Appointments Displayed checkbox, then select the number of appointments you want displayed
  6. Copy the URL from the box below the checkbox or click the Email ICS Link to get the URL you need to paste into other programs

  1. Click on the Calendar Component
  2. Click on the Settings tab
  3. Click the Manage Calendar Filters button
  4. Click on the Export To ICS button for the desired calendar filter.
  5. Click the checkbox labeled Change Total Number of Appointments Displayed
  6. Select the desired number of appointments. We recommend that the number does not exceed 900
  7. Copy the URL from the Calendar Filter ICS Settings

How to Manually Increase/Decrease the Number of Events in ICS Feed

The URL that you are using for your ICS feed should look something like http://studiocloud.com/StudioCloudCalendar?id=000000000000  To adjust the number of events that are downloaded edit the URL and add the following information &limit=NUMBER where NUMBER is the number of events you want to download.  Once this edit has been made your URL should look something like http://studiocloud.com/StudioCloudCalendar?id=000000000000&limit=NUMBER Below are some examples:

  • 100 events - http://studiocloud.com/StudioCloudCalendar?id=000000000000&limit=100
  • 200 events - http://studiocloud.com/StudioCloudCalendar?id=000000000000&limit=200
  • 500 events - http://studiocloud.com/StudioCloudCalendar?id=000000000000&limit=500
