How to Import a Calendar from an ICS File

Overview

The "Import Calendar from ICS" field allows a business to import a third-party calendar into StudioCloud. 

Disclaimer

The ICS file does not contain sufficient information to prevent double entry of calendar events when importing a file into StudioCloud. In addition, ICS files cannot be exported in portions which means every time a calendar is imported all the events associated with that calendar will show up within StudioCloud. As such, StudioCloud recommends only importing the ICS file once to prevent duplicate calendar events.

How to Open the Import Calendar Window

  1. Click on the Calendar Component
  2. Click on the Settings tab
  3. Click the Import Calendar button

How to Import Calendar Information from ICS File

  1. Go to the Import Calendar Window
  2. Click the Import Options menu option 
  3. Click the Import From ICS File menu item 
    • Import From File.png
  4. Select your ICS file

How to Import Calendar Information from ICS Link

  1. Go to the Import Calendar Window
  2. Click the Import Options menu option 
  3. Click the Import From ICS Link menu item 
    • Import From.png
  4. Copy and paste the ICS link into the ICS Link field
    • Note: the ICS Link must be a public link otherwise StudioCloud will not be able to access it.
  5. Click the Import Calendar button

How to Assign a Calendar Type to all of the Imported Events

  1. Go to the Import Calendar Window
  2. Click the Group Operations menu option
  3. Click the Select Calendar Type For Selected Events menu item 
    • Select Calendar Type.png
  4. Click the Select Calendar Type button next to the desired calendar type
