Export your StudioCloud Calendar to Outlook

Overview 

This tutorial explains how to add an automatically updating view-only calendar to Outlook, composed of either the entire StudioCloud calendar or just a subset of StudioCloud's calendar based on employees, locations, equipment, or calendar type.

Disclaimer

Versions of Outlook prior to Outlook 2007 do not support internet calendars and as a result, the StudioCloud calendar can not be viewed in those versions of Outlook.

Outlook 2016 for the Mac does not support internet calendars although it does now support direct syncing with Google Calendars. Click here for more details regarding integrating Outlook for the Mac with Google Calendar

How to Access the StudioCloud ICS Calendar Link

  1. Go to the Calendar component
  2. Click the Settings tab
  3. Click the Manage Calendar Filters button
  4. Find the calendar filter you want to export and click the Export to ICS button
  5. Copy and paste the URL into your third-party calendar programs

You will need to copy and paste the ICS link into Outlook using the instructions below.

How to Export Your StudioCloud Calendar to Outlook on The Web

  1. Open The Outlook Calendar in a browser
  2. Click the Add Calendar menu option
  3. Click the From Internet option
  4. Paste the StudioCloud ICS link into the Link To the calendar text field
  5. Enter the calendar name
  6. Click the Save button

How to Export Your StudioCloud Calendar to Outlook 2010, Outlook 2013, or Outlook 2016

  1. Open Outlook
  2. Click the Calendar icon in the bottom left corner of the program
  3. Click the Open Calendar button
  4. Click the From Internet option
  5. Paste the StudioCloud ICS link into the New Internet Calendar Subscription popup
  6. Click the Yes button to confirm that you want to "Add this Internet Calendar to Outlook and subscribe to updates?"
  7. A new calendar named "Untitled" should be added to the Other Calendars folder.  Right-click the "Untitled" calendar and click the Properties option
  8. Change the name to "StudioCloud" or to a unique name that you can identify in the future

How to Export your StudioCloud Calendar to Outlook 2007

  1. Open Outlook 2007
  2. Click the Tools menu option
  3. Click the Account Settings option
  4. Click the Internet Calendar tab in the Account Settings window
  5. Click the New button
  6. Paste the StudioCloud ICS link into the New Internet Calendar Subscription popup
  7. Change the "Folder Name" from ICSFeed to "StudioCloud" or to a unique name that you can identify in the future.
  8. Click the OK button
  9. Click the Close button
  10. Go to the Calendars section of Outlook
  11. You should see your calendar either under "My Calendars" or "Other Calendars"
