Overview
This tutorial explains how to use the weather in StudioCloud.
The updated weather component includes all of the following features:
- View the current weather of a zip code
- Quickly switch between different zip codes to view the current weather
- When creating or editing a session view the sunrise/sunset time for the scheduled day
- When creating or editing a session view a 3 day forecast
- When creating or editing a session view the current weather or a 3 day forecast of a specific location
Weather Component On Overview
This tutorial explains how to use the weather component on the overview page. You should see a weather component displayed in the top left as shown in the image below. By default the weather component will use your businesses zip code.
Switch Weather Between Fahrenheit and not Celsius
To change the weather between Fahrenheit and not Celsius do the following steps
- Click on Settings
- Click on the 'Manage StudioCloud Settings' button
- Select the desired weather metric
Change Weather Location
To change the weather location enter your zip code or postal code as shown in the image below.
Quickly Switch Between Different Zip Codes
You can quickly switch between different zip codes or postal codes by clicking on the arrow shown in the image below.
View the 3 Day Forecast
To view a 3 day forecast for the zip code click on the link shown in the image below.
View the time for Sunrise/Sunset when scheduling
To view the sunrise and sunset time for the scheduled start time do the following steps
- Create a new session or edit an existing session
- Select the desired start date
- Click on Options
- Click on the 'Check Sunrise/Sunset' menu item
View the Forecast when Scheduling
To view the 3 day forecast for the business zip code when scheduling do the following steps
- Create a new session or edit an existing session
- Select the desired start date
- Click on Options
- Click on the '3 Day Forecast' menu item
View the Current Weather/Forecast For a specific location when scheduling
To view the current weather or the weather forecast of a specific location when scheduling do the following steps:
- Create a new session or edit an existing session
- Enter the zip code or postal code in the event address location as shown in the image below
- Click on the Check Weather or Check Forecast button.
