How to Setup your Email Address
- Click the Settings component
- Click on the Settings tab
- Click on the Manage Email Accounts button
- Click on the New Email Account button
- Fill in the General Settings tab with your name and email address
- Fill in your email information including your email username and password
- Below is a list of the Specific Settings for Common Providers
- Click Save
- After you have saved your email settings you will want to send a test email using the instructions here How to Send a Test Email to verify that the account is setup correctly
Specific Settings for Common Providers
Gmail and Google apps for Businesses
Windows Live / Hotmail
SMTP server: pod51000.outlook.com
SMTP Port: Port 587
Type of Encryption: TLS
Username: Your Windows Live ID, for example yourname@hotmail.com
Password: The password you usually use to sign in to Hotmail or Windows Live
Because of a security issue with Adobe AIR, StudioCloud cannot connect directly to this provider. As a result, please click the "Send From StudioCloud Servers" checkbox on the Outgoing mail tab.
If you are getting an error message that says that StudioCloud could not authenticate and you are certain you have the correct username and password then you may need to check your Hotmail activity by going to https://account.live.com/Activity and see if you can find any rejected connections. It is possible that Hotmail is blocking the StudioCloud connection.
If you have 2 step authentication enabled you will need to follow the instructions in this tutorial to create a password for StudioCloud. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/app-passwords-two-step-verification
Microsoft Office 365
SMTP server: smtp.office365.com
SMTP Port: Port 25 or Port 587
Type of Encryption: TLS/SSL
Username: Your office 365 username
Password: The password you usually use to sign in to office 365
Because of a security issue with Adobe AIR, StudioCloud cannot connect directly to this provider. As a result, please click the "Send From StudioCloud Servers" checkbox on the Outgoing mail tab.
If you have 2 step authentication enabled you may need to create an app specific password instead of using the password that you usually use to sign in to office 365.
Outlook
SMTP server: smtp-mail.outlook.com
SMTP Port: Port 25 or Port 587
Type of Encryption: TLS
Username: Your Windows Live ID, for example yourname@outlook.com
Password: The password you usually use to sign in to Hotmail or Windows Live
Because of a security issue with Adobe AIR, StudioCloud cannot connect directly to this provider. As a result, please click the "Send From StudioCloud Servers" checkbox on the Outgoing mail tab.
Troubleshooting
If you are getting an error saying "Could Not Authenticate" then please there are a few possible issues.

You have entered an incorrect username or password. Correct this by entering the correct username and password

Microsoft is blocking the connection from the StudioCloud server. You will need to use the steps below to resolve this

Go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/account/security/recentactivity.aspx

Click the "See Your Recent Activity" button

Look for any login attempts that were rejected. The StudioCloud servers are located in the North Western United States. Approve those logins and then try sending a test email again.

Password: As of June 2017 Apple requires that third-party applications using app specific passwords. You will need to setup an app specific password for StudioCloud using the instructions here https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204397

Type of Encryption: Auto
Username: Your full email address
Password: A special password generated by yahoo for StudioCloud
To get the password do the following steps:
Go to this link. https://login.yahoo.com/account/security
You should see the screen below when you click on the above link. You will need to login.
After you have logged in you should see the screen below. Click on the Generate App Password link
Then click on the other app
Type in StudioCloud and click on "Generate"
Copy the password below and paste it into the email account password settings in StudioCloud
Bludomain.com
If you have entered all of the information correctly then please see Bludomain.com's support documentation. You may need to setup your account to allow you to send emails through it or you may need to send emails through the email provided by your internet service provider.
